Cisco published a note examining the role of coherent pluggable optics in the roll out of AI training and inference services. It discusses the ramp up of AI networks and infrastructure and how this has resulted in increased coherent transport traffic – playing a direct role in 400G and future 800G coherent adoption. Cisco chose to use Cignal AI shipment data to drive the point home.
