Marvell announced Orion, its 800ZR Coherent DSP, and its COLORZ 800 optical module using the DSP and SiPho technology. This is the company’s 3rd generation optical module after high-volume shipments of 100G direct detect and 400ZR coherent modules. The company has been exceptionally successful as a supplier of coherent DSPs for pluggable applications and has created a broad supply chain of other module vendors that use its technology.
